Mosquitoes spread some of the world’s deadliest and most debilitating diseases including Zika virus, West Nile virus, malaria and dengue fever. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, mosquitoes are such a serious health threat that the week of June 21-27, 2020 was declared Mosquito Control Awareness Week.
Summit Chemical Company was founded over 45 years ago by Lawrence Kase, an expert in food technology with a master’s degree in microbiology. The discovery of a unique species of bacteria, Bacillus thuringiensis ssp. israelensis (Bti), led the company to develop a sustained-release mosquito larvicide that killed the larvae before they became flying, biting adults.
Bill Stengel, Summit Responsible Solutions national sales manager, will tell us all about the Mosquito Dunks®, an effective mosquito control that does not harm the environment as well as other effective products to control garden pests.
